II International Youth Watercolour Festival – Plovdiv: Participants from Bulgaria, Serbia and Spain, as well as guests from Poland and Ukraine. Some of the 16 prizes prepared by established brands of watercolor materials with corresponding certificates were distributed at the opening ceremony to the prize winners who attended. A multimedia screen presented the award-winning artists’ works and their names, as well as the names or material brands presenting awards to the large audience. The festival exhibition at Kapana Gallery, featured over 130 works by various artists from 20 countries – juried, invited artist and selected participants from a prestigious international jury: Ali Abbas Saeed (Pakistan), Jansen Chow (Malaysia), Miran Kim (Korea), Nicholas Lopez (Peru) and Richard Chao (Australia). Demonstrations by participants and guest artists from Bulgaria, Serbia and Spain. Special videos of demonstrations by participants from Australia and China were screened to the audience. In the courtyard of the National Art Gallery “Tsanko Lavrenov”, a collective painting of 20 meters watercolor on paper roll “Fabriano” was held. In the accompanying exhibition in the Halls for temporary expositions of the State Gallery Plovdiv, participated famous masters of watercolor in Bulgaria.
